Before I go to sleep, I only sip some water but I always have to pee in the middle of the nite and then 3 hours later. Especially on colder nites.

Something is waking you up in the middle of the night, your a light sleeper, apnea. Whatever it is, it is your Habit that when you wake (bet you go as soon as you wake in the morning) you have to go. Your brain doesn't realize that it is the middle of the night so the receptors that tell you "I'm awake, gotta go" kick in. If I wake up and even think about it I can not go back to sleep unless I get up and go. Its like the more I think about it the more I have to get up. It's just a habit, hard to break, but if you figure out what is waking you, you might have a better chance.

I go to the bathroom alot when I am cold. That is normal. If you void more than twice during the night you could be diabetic, have an overactive bladder, work bladder, or bladder problems. Work bladder meaning when your body relaxes it will void. This depends upon how much you drink in day. Do you drink tea or take medications. These factors can also make you go to the bathroom frequently. If it bothers you a lot go see a doctor.

you could just have a small bladder and that's why you need to go so often. Also, caffeine consumed during the day even if not near bedtime can affect you.. if you are finding it very concerning for you then talk to you doctor, but it isnt likely anything to worry about if you've always been this way. If it's a change that came on suddenly, then there could be some concern...is it possible you're pregnant?

The answer to this question depends on a number of factors. How old are you? Are you male or female? How much is some *sips* of water.

The most serious of possibilities is that you are diabetic, and the symptom you describe is polyuria.

There is too little information to offer more guesses.

Don't drink anything after about 8 or 9. If you do this you may only have to get up once a night if at all.

you should see a urologist , i had the same problem , the urether where the urine comes from was small and needed to be stretched, it doesn't hurt ,your bladder can't hold water long so it makes you have to pee frequently and this will cure the problem , you may have to go back for the stretching a few times but it's not a big deal.

Anxiety issues possibly could be a contributing factor to your issue. Weak bladder sounds more like your problem. I would suggest seeing your doctor because this could be a sign of a more serious condition. Are you excessively stressed or depressed? Consult your physician ASAP

Sounds like it's time for you to start sizing yourself for a night time diaper.

I'm incontinent and that's the way it started for me was having to get up so many times during the night to go to the bathroom. Now I have to wear diapers 24 / 7 to keep from wetting my clothes.

I don't use disposables though, I don't want to clog up the landfills.

Hopefully you won't need them and it is something simple.

Good luck.

what time DO you go to bed? do you have a larger than normal intake of sodium? Check the foods you eat, I bet this is the culprit.
