Something that makes you happy, something that makes you feel like you are contributing to the world in one way or another, if that is important to you, but definitely something that you enjoy or is at the very least in an environment you enjoy. If you are miserable at work you will be miserable in all other areas of your life, most people spend most of their time at work so if you are unhappy or too stressed trust me, it will carry over into the rest of your life, in your attitude everything. Take the time to go to school or do whatever you need to do to be able to do something that makes you happy. There is no generic best career it depends on you, if you have/want a family, if you want to spend a lot of time with them or if sucess is more important, it depends on your priorities in life, whether it is having alot of money, or having a family or a partner, traveling whatever, you have to look at you, your personality your wants and needs and decide from there what the best career for YOU is, no one can decide that for you.

Well I don't know what the "best" career is, but I can tell you that I'm going into nursing because there are a lot of job oppurtunities and there are so many areas you can go into with it. The pay is also great, not to mention the satisfaction of helping other people feel better. Also it will be nice to be able to answer my own health questions. : )

Best career is a job you like doing and gives you sufficient income to pay for all of your expenses and some niceties..... It really depends on you and your interests.

If you choose your job by the income alone, you may do a job you hate for all your life. Although you may have lots of money, you won't have a mind to enjoy the money you make. You have to strike a good balance on income and your interest. Naturally, if you like the job, you'll do well, and it will lead to success with increasing income.

Gold Digger. It's the career that keeps on giving, and you don't have to work to get paid.

just kidding

Look at what you enjoy doing. I worked retail for way too long, and happened to get a chance to work with developmentally and physically disabled folks, and I love it. I wish I would have found it years ago. Is it high paying? No. Is it rewarding to help someone become independent and learn something new, and see the pride on their face when they learn it and do it themselves? You bet. Every time it happens. That never gets old.

Engineer, without a doubt, hands down. You'll never see and out of work, idle engineer unless he's a dope addict or a drunk. They all make good money regardless of the branch of engineering they choose to go into. They are always in short supply, so they can name their price. They can work for themselves or in a company more easily than most occupations. And they can travel to any country and live in any country. They are needed everywhere they go. Structural engineering, civil or electrical are all excellent fields. I should mention that your math should be excellent B+ or A- min. otherwise go into sales. lol

I depends on how you define "best."

Some of the most in demand careers at the moment are RN, math teacher, pharmacist, optometrist, and Arab linguist. Pharmacist probably has the highest starting pay.
