i know some of u asked why i would get it done if it represents the lack of invidualism....its becuase next thing you know congress or someone with want every one to have one....maybe not a barcode but some kinda of identification to control us all...kinda of like communism...but brought to the next level....and horrifying and awful as that sounds i think that may end up being the future of mankind if we keep up the lack of individualism....so a barcode tattoo would simbolize that we are not just another number but an individual.....i wanna get one....so i was wondering if any one else had one and what their number ment

i dont have one, but in my opinion its the exact oposite of what many think. It's a unique symbol that only you have, and nobody else can duplicate, and symbolizes your identity in your own personal way. There are some who have barcodes that symbolize a belonging to someone or some thing or organization...thats a whole other scenario that i dont think is relevant to what you want to do.

bar code would definitely mean capitailsm, not communism. Why would communists use a bar code? They can't sell anything because they can't own anything!

Besides you probably already/will have a Social Security number, a driver's license number, passport number, etc. you are already part of this society that treats you like a number.

Some countries are even already using national IDs to unify all government services. to me, it makes sense, less bureacracy. It would only be a "big brother" issue if i have to pull out the ID everywhere I turn for security checks, which I am against. But I'm more worried about phone taps, reading private emails and recording web searches because they are happening now.

if I get a bar code tattoo, it should be readable and help me get thru check out faster. so the barcode for Coke, cup noodles and charmins. :P

I wouldn't get a barcode tattoo because it's like you're accepting what is going to be forced on the public.

Instead, I'd make sure to be educated about socialism and "socialized" medicine. If too many Americans give up their rights and accept the government controlling everything, then we will end up barcoded (or with ID chips implanted under our skin like Bill Clinton suggested in his socialized medicine plan).

It would be virtually impossible to tattoo a barcode on skin because the elasticity of the skin would distort the lines and render the code useless.

Get an RFID chip instead. It would be easier to reverse as well.

i think the barcode tattoo is dumb and old. i know someone who has it on the back of his neck and another person with one on his forearm. it's only cool if it really scans. it's not that original to me personally.
