Terrorism is directly linked to our support for Israel. Why should us young people shed blood for Israel in the future (in the case of another terror attack, or even war)? What is the reason for 3 billion dollars of aid (more than any other country). Couldn't that money be better spent trying to find an alternative fuel source?

Because of Zionism my cynical friend. The Christians believe that Jesus will return when the Jews are again in Israel. They're waiting for the Apocalypse. Every other country in the world, including England, has pulled away from supporting Israel. The main reasons for the conflicts of the past 50 years in the Middle East stem directly from the Jews settling in Palestine and England agreeing to hand over land, which was settled for 2,000 years by those of Middle Eastern descent, to the Jews.
Zionism, my friend, is the root of many evil things that happen in this world.
I say forget it. It's a foolish way to spend our resources. There are REAL issues in the world such as the genocide in Darfur, which can also probably be linked to Muslim hatred for Christians because of Christian Zionists, and our ever-increasing need for environmentally friendly energy sources.

Israel is a direct link and the mistreatment of their neighbors these idiots that answered are trying to snow you. Just examine the history of the creation of that country and you will see what the fuss is about.
Even one of their Prime Ministers said: Golda Meir upon the creation of that land (taking the land from the Palestinians) that if she were Palestinian she would be a terrorist herself. As some of friends answered your question, there is Al Qaede that is so fanatic but I believe rest of Muslims mostly don't hate us, just some of them have concerns about Israel (occupation), Iraq, Afghanistan, and dictatorship in Muslim countries that are friend of us, and targeting and blaming all of Muslims for terrorism.
Al Qaede uses these conflicts to recruit young, emotional and suffered Muslim to use them in its vicious terrorism.
And any crazy act from both side promotes extremism in both side and weakens moderate people in both side.

Isreal should not be a burden. As a young American I can understand your concern but it comes a time when you need to say enough to extremist who want everything you work for and care nothing about civilizations who work years to produce a economy that benefits them. If someone decided to take what was yours and what you spent your life working for would you be a little pissed off or maybe everyone should ignore it and just give people what belongs to them

Terrorism is not directly linked to America's support of Israel. Terrorism is linked to the religious fanatics of the middle east who abhor our way of life and feel threatened by it. These people want us gone. They'd like Israel gone as well. They'd also like all of Europe gone. These are terrorists. Murderers. Crazy people. They aren't any different than the Nazi's were.
