For those that have one give details about yours. For those that don't have one and want one tell me if you think you are up to caring properly for a ferret and why you think you are responsible and any other thing to do with ferrets.

Hey purple_euphoria , I am so sorry about your loss. I don't know what I would do if my lil baby died.....

Amber, I am sorry that you don't got your ferrets anymore. They while can be a pain once in a while are more of a joy then a pain! I hope you get some more soon!

Hey,diamonds babycakes, since i don't have your email address,i have listed an answer to your question which was a great question to ask by the way.Ferrets love milk, and similar products such as ice cream However, their digestive system cannot digest such things and if fed in any quantity will result in giving your ferret diarrhoea and an upset stomach. These items are best kept as treats, and if possible diluted with water. Goats milk is better than cows milk as a treat if it is available.
Though do not give your ferret to much because even though rabbit hunters fed milk to thier ferrets on the hunts, too much can upset their digestive system .Milk should be avoided in large quantities.Ferrets, like many other animals, become lactoseintolerant after they've been weaned. A rule of thumb is that the more fat a milkproduct contains, the less lactose is in it.Yogurt is often tolerated better because they contain a lactase that helps digest lactose.if u have any more ?s just ask me!

I have two ferrets and they are the greatest pets ever. I'm completely in love with them! People think they smell bad but I give mine baths about twice a week and make sure to clean out their ears (where most of the smell comes from) and they hardly smell bad. Most dogs smell much worse than my ferrets ever have. If you're patient with them when they're young you can train them to poop in their box, not to bite, and you can even teach them tricks. Then they are such a joy and I have so much fun with mine! And the fun only doubled when I got the second one, they love each other and they play and wrestle all the time. They love to dig so I got them a dig box filled with rice so it doesn't make them sneeze. They love to hide things but I know most of their favorite hiding spots. They love fruit. Any kind of fruit, I haven't found any kind that they don't like. I try to keep them mostly on their ferret food because it's the best for them. They sleep a lot much like a cat. I could go on for days. I don't know why you would want to give yours up but I know I would never give mine up, I love them to death!

I love ferrets and have 5 wonderful fuzzbutts. Two females (Kiante and Saphira) and 3 males (Haku, Matthias, and Hooah). Everyone gets along wonderfully with no trouble. The youngest is around 8 months old while the oldest is about 2.5 years. They live in a Ferret Nation cage (which I LOVE, so easy to clean) and get out to play in their ferret proofed rooms for many hours every day. Everyone likes their duck soup. And I feed a mix of Felidae, Maxximum Kitten, and Natural Balance Ultra Premium Cat.

I LOVE my babies Keawea Lea and Rascal Ranger! They steal everything and hide it behind the couch and are sooooo loveable and playfull and cute! Mine are spoiled rotten. They have the biggest cage you can buy, more beds than I can hang up at once, and too many toys to keep them all in the cage. They come out almost every night. They are soo funny when they steal stuff! I love my babies so much! They have earned many nicknames. Bonnie and Clyde because they are little bandits, and Bud and Bud Lite because my dad started calling Rascal Bud, and Keawea is lighter, so we started calling her Bud Lite. They get along with my dog, cats, and guinea pigs and everything. They are just the best pets ever!

I had two ferrets a few years back but had to give them to my ex when we broke up. As soon as I get a place of my own (I live with my mom while I'm going to college) I'll be getting more.
