I thinking about buying a Wii, but I would like to able to play the gamecube games I have and save the games. The PS2 can play the PS One games but you can save the game.

Yes, you can play & save Gamecube games on the Wii. There is even a little plug in where you can plug in your Gamecube controller into the console.

It'll play Wii discs and GCN discs. It will also allow you to download select games from the older systems. I believe they will just be 1st party games though.
