Its about 8 to 9 hours, kinda boring from Yakima into about an hour in Oregon, after that, its a canyon drive, so you could have some fun (assuming a bike ride here) You could also take little side trips to make the drive more fun, take the old road from Ellensburg to Yakima, its fun and twisty, alsok the back rads from Yakima to Tri Cities are kinda fun, go to Walla Walla then down the panhandle of Idaho, theres lots of ways that may take time but are fun.
