I think that enough of America is ready for a woman to be elected President. I think 2008 or 2012 is a distinct possibility.

We're ready - at least we should be. However, there is a certain segment of this country - rednecks, male chauvinists, Christian fundamentalists - who can't stand the thought of a woman in power and would never vote for one. It makes no difference that women have been the leaders of other countries, these idiots would never vote for a woman. It would take a very special woman to polarize all the women in this country to voting for her since there are more women than there are men.

Absolutely not! There is no need, at this time, to elect a female president. There are plenty of responsible, well qualified, and authoritative males to handle the job. I will be ready to vote for a female candidate the day after the world ends.

It truly doesn't matter; in our current political system, by the time any woman has risen high enough to get serious consideration as a presidential candidate, she will have become just as arrogant and corrupt as what we are dealing with now in the male candidates.

Yes I think it is time to give it a try here in the U.S.A. .
Women have been elected to office in other countries with about the same results as males.
There have been Female rulers of nations in the past.

No, not yet. It will take about 10 more years, before we could have a Female as a President.

I think so, but the vice-president is going to be pretty busy (and important) for about a week every month.

the only female at the time being spoken of is Hillary. Is there anyone else? if not, I say no. When? It will depend on who comes along.
