And then it was reported by the media as a secondary storm surge that broke open the dikes.First of all there is no such thing as a secondary storm surge!!! And 30 witnesses that stayed said they heard explosions.

I am from new orleans. and I have friends that also heard what sounded like explosions. I in my opinion think that it was a way for them to get all of the poor people out of New Orleans. it is mighty funny in parts of new orleans where the so called {rich] people live. did not get flooded out and destroyed.

You are obviously one of those who live for a conspiracy theory. A secondary storm surge such as this was caused by the torrential rains accumulating in dams obviously not built to accommodate such a deluge. Explosions they may have heard were power line generators and other electrical equipment. It could have also been buildings collapsing, trees toppling, and other such things. No bombs. Go back and look up another cause to attack for a conspiracy. There was none in New Orleans.

no there isnt a secondary storm surge. the levies broke because they were not able to withstand that much water pressure so then the water started to leak under the levies( into the ground) which weakened the foundation making it give way and break. they said the levies were only supposed to be able to with stand a category 3 hurricane and katrine was a 4 when it made land fall. the explosions could have been the levies breaching for peopel who lived near by them or possibly gunfire, ect since there was alot of looting going on after everything cleared up. or if it was during the hurricane it was most likely the wind causing damage.

I live in New Orleans and can tell you that this is just another wild conspiracy theory. It has as much validity as aliens at area 51,, or Elvis living in Tahiti.
The levees (not dikes) failed because the army corps of engineers did not adequately design them, nor did they supervise the construction properly.
