Neither. I believe that love at first sight is a lust thing. Working to make love happen seems like 'my way or the high way.' I prefer to get to know someone before I have any thoughts of love. Romance, however is a much different story. You can achieve romance through effort, but I don't believe love comes the same way.

Love at first sight is bullsh*t. It's wrong to base a relationship on a hunch, a feeling, one moment. Another thing is that you shouldn't have to make love work. Love is a connection. You can't create it. It grows-sometimes fast, sometimes slow.

People should not expect that the other person is perfect for them and that they love everything about them. It's the opposite. There will be stuff you don't like about him/her but there's gonna be millions of great thing you love about him/her. Love is a give and give and give and give...and give and take deal. Unconditional love is love with no conditions. You forgive their mistakes, look past their falts, short-comings, and corks, give them your respect, love, and care. When they get fat, ugly, take on bad and disgusting habits, treat you wrong---you still love them. That's sounds crazy and difficult because it is. WHAT DO YOU THINK LOVE IS.

I would prefer real love.

Well, it's kind of like this. Some romantic relationships start with a small spark, and smoulder....and those are the ones that last for a long time. Others start with an explosion, but they burn out very quickly, SO....I'd go with making love happen, rather than the explosive 'love at first sight' method.

Love at first sight, is like when you tell Siamese kids about snow. To them , it does not exist. Not too many people experience it.It does exist When a dual irresistible attraction doesn't die. Two people become intoxicated just looking at each other , being together, not only accepting but being able to laugh at faults. Not needing anyone else.

When your lover leaves , it's like you were shot with an arrow . When your lover returns you're like a child at Christmas morning and the next time you see two 80 year olds holding hands looking into each others eyes, ask them.

Working on it, better chance it will stand the test of time, "love at first sight" is often over just as quick, as soon as the novelty wears off or one of you falls madly in love with the next person to walk through the door.

A mixture of both- start with love at first sight, and work to keep it happening.

Working to make love happen. I think love at first sight is not a deep or profound love, it would go very quickly.
