I had this dilemma two weeks ago on a really hot 110 degree weekend. I didn't go swimming and I was miserable. You could wear a tampon but make sure you have a place to change it if necessary

I grew up around the beach. We [all the girls] would bath in the beach and pool even if we had our period. Once you enter the water the flow stops so no one ever experienced any accidents. But as soon as we would get out of the water...we would use the usual.

dont go in the pool. for one it'll turn the water kinda pink and that will be weird, 2, as soon as u get outa the pool u'll have blood dripping down ur leg. and if itz a public pool or ur on the beach, itz kinda hard to go to the bathroom and "fix it". i would stay out of the water except to take a shower

Can you use tampons? If so, don't worry about your period as long as you change your tampon every couple of hours. The 'super' sized tampons in the store work really well even on your heavy days!

My suggestion is stay out of the pool when you have your period.

And if you have no clue if you are doubting, I would still stay out of the pool until you know 100%.
