Pointe shoes run from about $30 to $70, depending on the brand and where you get them. The on-line suppliers might be cheaper, but you still need to factor in shipping costs. And if you need to try a new brand/style, you should always get fitted in person. Many dancewear stores will charge you a fitting fee if you don't buy the shoes from them.

People are going to tell you their favorite brands, but it really depends on what brand and style works best with you. My daughter was lucky that Sansha shoes (the cheapest brand) worked for her for many years. Not only were they cheaper, but they lasted a long time, too. However, she then had to start using different brands as her feet and circumstances changed.

Just go to a reputable dancewear store and get fitted by their specialist and simply try a wide range of brands and styles 'til you find one you think feels right. Pointe shoes only feel "right" for a limited amount of time - sometimes near the beginning or midway in their use. In the latter stage, you'll realize it's time for another pair of pointe shoes. These stages can last hours, days, weeks and months, depending how many hours per week you're in them. (Fortunately, it's only professional ballet dancers who go through a pair of pointe shoes for each performance.) At some point in your training, you'll realize you'll need several pairs of pointe shoes in rotation.

So as you can see, durability of pointe shoes can be just as important as price. If a more expensive brand lasts longer for you, it can be less expensive that a cheaper brand that only lasts a week. But this is based on what your feet do to the shoes, not necessarily the workmanship of the brand. And many dancers actually prefer shoes that break in very easily.

Given the individual nature of pointe shoe preferences, please take any flat-out recommendations as you would recommendations for ice cream flavors. :-)

normal pointe shoes should cost you from $30 to $50, since you're gonna change them often. $60 is probably a good pair, but you won't need a very nice one unless for rehearsals and performances (always buy and practice with them for some time before performance so you'll get used to it).

i've bought pointe shoes that cost me up to $100 though.

but there ARE much cheaper ones out there, and they're good enough. i suggest you shop around. online is also another option but you don't get to try.

is this on line? make constructive those shoes certainly in advantageous condition previously procuring them. in the event that they seem to be a kind you have by no skill tried, it must be quite risky to bounce in them. yet confident, $20 is extremely low-value. Many pointe shoes run upwards of $a hundred and customs are much greater high priced.

It really depends on the shoe. $60 is about normal I think. Unless you buy them on sale on a website or from a catalog.
