I wish I could knew why it is so expensive too, I pay 50 bucks a month for mine. However, i was paying about the same for the pill I took and it was much more of a hassle. Did you get the free month coupon from the web-site? also try to get samples from you GYN office. My dr gave me 3 free and a coupon for a free one with a new prescription when i filled mine. good luck finding something. I think your best bet would be to hit up the dr's office for some freebies though.

I think it costs so much because it is a fairly new form of birth control, and if I remember correctly one of the most innevasive, in that your body is not directly ingesting the hormones. Anytime you get a new med that goes above and beyond the others, you're gonna pay for it.
I do know that some County Health Depts in the state I live have some programs that will give you any method you prefer at a very reduced price, some even free, depending on your income. The one where I live gave me an IUD for free even though at the time my hubby and I made a quite substantial amount of money. And the IUD cost around $600!!
I hope this helps you out some.

See if there is a Community Health Center in your area, or talk with Planned Parenthood. Maybe they can help.
