At the end of the movie "Lord of the Rings, the Return of the king", why does Frodo have to leave the Shire with Bilbo?

Frodo was permenantly wounded by his trials getting rid of the Ring. He had been stabbed by a Morgul-knife, and almost became a wraith. He had been poisoned by the great spider, Shelob. He had been run into near-exhaustion by the journey itself, and finally suffered a very painful, non-surgical amputation (when Gollum bit off his finger). Over all was the mental damage he suffered from the constant pull of the Ring.

Frodo never fully healed from all of these injuries. At the anniversary of each wound, he would have flashbacks for a week! Furthermore, he never married or had children, although Sam and Merry and Pippin certainly did. His ability to return to "normal" life was destroyed.

Healing was offered to the Ringbearers by the Elves, in their home in the West (the undying lands). Bilbo, Frodo, and Sam (much later) took the places of Elrond's children in the Undying Lands, as all of Elrond's kids chose to become mortal!

They would still be mortal, but much longer-lived in the Undying Lands, and would finally find healing. The Ring, as it turns out, was not even an elvish invention. It was invented by Sauron, who was actually a fallen Angel out of the Undying Lands. The Unfallen could heal the Hobbits.

Frodo went with Bilbo, so Bilbo would have someone of his own kind to spend time with on his journey.

In the book, Frodo lives for many years in the shire, but he is never the same after his quest. No one in the shire recognizes him for the hero--they just think him kind of odd. He was kind of ruined by the whole traumatic experience, it made him sober and not likely to join into community life. His buddies go right back to normal life and do not suffer his same fate. He doesn't have to leave with Bilbo. He chooses to. The offer that Arwen gives him is that when he is weary of life in this world, he can have her place on the ships to the Country over the Sea. He wants rest and refreshment and to be with those he loves. Who doesn't long for heaven after such a quest?

Frodo was required to leave, because all creatures that use the ancient rings must die, because they are forever changed. The Grey Havens in the Lord of the Rings world is a metaphor for Heaven.

In short Frodo had to leave the world he knew because he was forever changed by the Ring.

although if Frodo Baggins used the only ring, Peter "Spiderman" Parker takes this one. first of all Spiderman has the attempt against adventure; Frodo would desire to be older yet Pete has been battling superpowers because he became into fifteen. Secondly the Spider-sense facilitates Petey to sense an invisible Frodo's assaults and circumvent them. Thirdly Parker is speedier, extra desirable and extra agile then Baggins. i'd desire to flow on although if it style of feels clean that Peter "the superb ideas-blowing Spiderman" Parker wins.

Basically, He never really got heal from the injury from rooftop and the ring had worn him down spiritually. He would never be the same hobbit as he was and all that was innocence was now gone.

I think it's because he knew he could never really be happy at the Shire anymore after what he had gone through. He also wanted to stay with his uncle...but I could be soooo wrong. ^.^ Forgiveth me if I am.
