No, it's not wrong to idolize a celebrity. We all need to look up to someone. Obviously , the celebrity has qualities you would like to have, therefore, you are looking to better yourself and no one can be faulted for wanting to be like someone who is successful, famous, and wealthy!

You should not idolize a celebrity because they are human just like you and I except for the fact that whatever they do, they have money to back them. If you are going to "idolize" someone makes sure it's because they have done something for the good of man not because they are wearing the coolest fashion items and they are popular.

I think so because it's like if you're worshiping them. As a Christian, we can't do that kind of thing since we can only do that to the Almighty, which mentioned in the Ten Commandments. When you idolize a celebrity, it can be an obsession, which wouldn't be good. Celebrities are people, like us. It's just that they were paid to entertain and that they gained their popularity via admiralty.

Celebrities are more of a fascination/animation than they are real It would be almost impractical to admire people who, too often, stumble and fall in real life.

Idolize the industry they are in...sports...music...etc..and have as much knowledge about the industry before you get to idolize any individual within that particular industry.

People are just people.
While I was in college - I met and interviewed Stevie Wonder, Barbara Hershey, John Cougar (Mellencamp), the President of General Motors and many other people you may recognize.... they are just people trying to do their jobs....but they have to sell themselves as part of the way to get more money, more work and more attention. Do not place them on a platform to become more than singers, actors or in jobs that make money....they do not have any inside track on how to be a better person or anything political - they are just people.

idolize better people. Celebrities don't seem to have a good moral compass. Look up to parents, police, or whomever you believe does good and is someone you would want to be.

Its supposely sinful...I guess it depends on how much you idolize the celebrity, I mean if you're all crazy about them where you start to stalk them...then ya it is wrong.

large query! And, i come across no longer something astounding approximately bigotry, decadence, drug use and immoral intercourse acts. that is a great project between even little ones. the international grows previous, the youngsters are led into darkness and perverse ideas and acts. I do think of that celebrities are given, with the help of the click and the folk, way too lots capacity to impact what human beings think of and do. Lindsay Lohan, as an occasion, became right into a good roll style until she all without delay began to act up with Paris Hilton. that would have inspired any style of her followers to think of that is all suited. i became into happy that Charlie Sheen became into taken care of right after his attack on his very own coach and manufacturers. He became into fired and easily deserved it. He confirmed lots disrespect that i think of he has none for himself. .

Figure out what you like about that person, then make that your goal for yourself.
Find someone in your own life to admire and act as your mentor.
Get into acting or music. Try Second City or a community theater.
