First off, the baby is largely the product of the mother's intake. So there is a net preservation of mass and matter. Our main source of energy is from the Sun. So there is an external input as far as the Earth is concerned. Energy has a relation to mass, as in the famous E=mc^2 equation. So there should be variation in the Earth mass.

Even if we were to consider the human mass as a contribution to the Earth, the component contributed by human, is very small. How small? The Mass of Earth is 5.9742 × 10^24 kilograms. Assuming 6 billion people with say an average of 50 kg per person, we would have

6 x 10^9 x 50 = 3 x 10^11 kg

Now, take the percent of this combined number compared to the Earth mass, we get

(3 x 10^11) / (5.9742 × 10^24) x 100 %

= 1.79226 x 10^-10 %

= 0.000000000179226 %

Even with the whole of human population, this is a very small percentage of the Earth's mass.

No matter is created or destroyed, but some matter is rearranged to create a baby. The atoms used to construct the baby were consumed by the mother at some time in her life, not necessarily during pregnancy. There is a correlation between body weight (energy reserves) and fertility which indicates that food consumed prior to pregnancy may be incorporated into the baby. This would be testable using an isotopic labelling experiment (perhaps with mice) and would make a great science fair project for someone.

The mass/matter that makes up the baby comes from the food the mother eats while she's pregnant. Nothing "new" is being created, every atom in the baby's body was originally part of something else.

A baby is made from the food that the mother ate while she was pregnant. As that food came from the earth, nothing new is added.

no, when a woman gets pragnant, an embryo grows in her womb, the matter comes from the food she eats. when she gives births, its simply releasing the "matter" from the body. so there is no additional mass created.

nope the answer above is of course correct BUT the baby does add new MATTER or at least new FORMS of matter (constructed from old matter ) and you got the law wrong MATTER can be converted to ENERGY and vice-versa

no, the "new"mass comes from the food that the mother ate during pregnancy.

No but could you imagine if it did with 6 billion people.
