Question

if you were ugly would you hate your self?
this is kind of a question for pretty people.
if you were ugly would you still keep the same self esteem or would it change?
i was just wonderin^.^

I don't think that many people would define themselves as ugly. Most people have a list of things that they would change about their physical appearance, but there is a difference between that and calling yourself ugly.

I personally acknowledge that there are portions of my face and body that I would change, but I still consider myself rather attractive.

I was a kind of ugly kid, with bad acne, weight problems, and a face I hadn't grown into yet, but as a kid I had such great self esteem that I honestly thought I was gorgeous.

I don't think I would hate myself were I ugly, just have lower self-esteem, and potentially act destructively. Frankly, I would hate myself more if I were fat, just because my un-attractiveness would have then been my own fault.

Actually, no body should hate their selves, because being ugly is just their own opinion. You might be absolutely beautiful to one, and absolutely ugly to another . Everybody has their own opinions, including theirs on beauty. How could any one be so conceited to even ask such a question, or call themselves one of the "pretty people"?

I think it would change becuz ya know it always feels really good to get a compliment from sum1 on ur looks like " Oh, you look good today" or "Oh, that's a really pretty outfit". I wouldn't hate myself but my self esteem would be much lower to tell you the truth.

If I didn't have the best face i would work out like crazy to have the best body...that way...if i had an ugly face i would have an awesome body...and no, i wouldn't hate myself! There is too much stuff in life to waste time on hating myself.

Self esteem comes from inside yourself...no one is ugly! There's something about everyone that makes them beautiful.
You're just as beautiful as anyone else!

How are the pretty people supposed to know they are pretty?

I'd rather be ugly outside, pretty inside than the other way around. Why love yourself (if you are in fact pretty) if you know that you are rotten on the inside?

I wouldn't know I was ugly...till someone else said it.

I'd just think I was a regular person. I think if someone called me ugly I'd have to take a close look at myself.

I don't see why an "ugly" person would hate themself... I think if I wasn't so girly/pretty then people would actually think I was smart, like when I first meet people they think I'm stupid until they get to know me.

noo..im pretty self consious even though people tell me im beautiful and i have a nice body....so if i was ugly my self esteem would probably be horrible
