The problems that can arise (no pun intended) is when one member wants sex more often than the other. Then some sort of compromise has to occur. That can be difficult especially if either or both don't know how to talk about sexual needs or understand their own needs. In other words, pretty much everyone, certainly anyone who asks a question like you did.
Some marriages have NO sex. Some, especially among the young, have sex three times a day. Pregnancies tend to slow things down, as pregnancies tend to be a consequence of sex, intended or not.
Oh, and another thing. This is something that some women do that is almost sure to end their marriages. If a woman uses sex as a weapon to punish a guy that almost never works. A woman who can control her sexual desires so well that she use it as a means of getting her way is a woman that men tend to leave. Men prefer to be with women who don't have such despotic relationships with their bodies.

My husband would love to 7 days a week. Me? I'm more along the lines of 2-3 times a week. We compromise. Unless I'm pregnant or nursing a baby and then I get total say. ;)

The national average is twice a week, but I once read an article in a woman's magazine that said:"make love to your husband at least once a day and you will never have a bit of trouble with him" I agree with this.

Depends on the sexual drive. Maybe 15 or more times. They make love a man and a woman. Try making love three times a day and you'll see if you can pass the next overdrive.

Are you looking for a definite number? Cause you're not going to get one! On the the other hand, if you know the man and woman in question, ask the woman.....
She'll tell you how often it will actually happen.
He'll tell you it's only as often as SHE wants to..

I just heard this on TV today. The average is 63 times a year. That is once every 5 days or so. Seems like it would be more doesn't it?

Let's face it, sex keeps the connection and the spark, and ummm we like it (I hope). So daily, 4 times a week, few times on the weekends, I guess when ever the urge strikes :) Having kids puts a hamper on it, but they have to go to bed sometime.

It depends on the couple. If they want it daily then do it daily. Personally I would say 4 to 5 times weekly.

There shouldn't be a number on how many times you make love. It's a great thing, why limit it.
