There is a great deal of debate over this given the high cost of college. Many students are getting practical degrees that prepare them for jobs so that they can pay back student loans. There is always the question as to whether people with these degrees are truly educated. Some people in this camp recommend getting a liberal education as a cheap audit student or on one's own.
Those with a degree in liberal studies are probably employable as college grads. Being a college grad offers employers someone with more developed thinking skills and a stronger work ethic. The employer provides the training. Ask your placement office which employers like liberal studies graduates. The other alternative is to get a practical masters degree or go on and get a PhD and teach.

Several things...it is up to each individual. If the degree is an Associate of Arts, you can go on for a Bachelor of Arts. Once that goal is reached, you can apply for law school, graduate school to pursue topic/s of interest, or work at an entry-level position to see what you would like to do in the world of work. I recommend speaking with your college's career counselor to see what your interests and abilities are and to get assistance in choosing your career path. Good luck.

Anything actually. Your degree does nothing more than show you have dedication....something like 85% of the people who graduate do NOT work in the field of their degree. Just graduate and your doing fine!!!

You could get an entry level job and use your experience at college as your major selling point. Tell them about your presentation, writing, as well as other skills that one could only learn at college. If you get that job, you can just work your way up from there, tons of people have done it.
