I have one, but I still play it occasionally. Music is a wonderful thing to get into.
You should check for nice deals on the internet. Also, ask the band instructor for any suggestions. Sometimes you can get a nice deal through the school or the school can rent them for a very reasonable price.
Remember that you don't need to buy her a fancy professional model. Many of my instruments are beginner's or intermediate level models. I only have professional models for the instruments I play and enjoy the most. You never know if she may quit or such; it's best to start out with a beginner's level instrument and used instruments are typically fine. You really should contact the band instructor for suggestions! He may know someone who would like to donate too!

No.. BUT.. You know.. about 6 months ago.. I did see one in a second hand store.. Actually... I think it was a good will store.. That might be a good place to look.. not only Good Will but other such outlets
