I used to smoke and drink, but now I stick with cigarettes. But I believe that if it was legalized, that it would cut down on the people that do use it. I mean, look, most young people under 21 drink, they know they are not supposed to, but then when they turn 21, some feel that they dont need it anymore. Its like rebellion. I would love to use again, but I dont want to risk losing my job and all that I have worked for since I have stopped. I love the relaxation feeling that it gives. But I feel if it was legalized, it wouldnt be that many people that would smoke it like there is now because it is illegal. Does anyone know about the Farmers who grow it in Kentucky?? Well this is my opinion, so I dont think there is no sources for it. Thanks for bein honest for those of you that have been. I hope this makes sense. I dont know if it does or not, but I hope it does.

It is really hard to say just how many people do smoke marajuana. In the last 40 years society has gone through dramatic changes regarding drugs. In the 60's and 70's smoking resembled a ritual that would biologically and spirituallly liberate a person. This thought stemmed from the Rastafaries and the Native American Indians. Then the 80's came along and it was looked at as the thing that couldn't cure all the mind and spiritual challenges so other approaches to spiritual fulfillment were being explored. Then in the 90's it was obvious that using anything to keep you from having to face a real problem from within was not the way to go. So now we are a time when we have alot of pot smokers that couldn't let go.... some people that use it for medically diagnosed conditions.... and those young ones who want to see what it's all about. I don't think the streets are rampant with pot smokers but it's hard to give an assessment.
We are still intransisting times.

1st off, let me just say that I know lots of professionals who run companies that make millions a year that not only smoke marijuana but do a lot worse than that. 2nd, I can safely say that I know people who do and they have jobs, they have gone to college, they have nice cars and the are all still responsible.

Think about it if they legalized it you have another reason to not cut down trees (hemp can be used for paper). The government could make a killing off of it. DOn't know too many smokers that go out and pick fights and such while under the influence.

A lot of companies test now and days (which is totally smart). I myself do not use but I cannot see the harm in it and for the little 13 year old that said you screw up your life, not everyone that smokes pot is a loser and ruins their life. It's all in how to can juggle. Caffeine, alcohol and nicotine are just as bad and you don't see those items under the "illegal umbrella"

Yep I do.. I will smoke Marijuana before I stick a cigarette or alcohol in my mouth.. (Im not saying I dont do either, but if I had to chose 1 of the 3.. pot would come first)

Look at the facts and that does it for me.. In Australia alone per year 19000+ deaths caused from Tobacco. 2000+ Deaths a year from Alcohol.
0 deaths on record from Marijuana..

I dont think you need to be a rocket scientist to figure out which is "better" for you. If you argue that Marijuana is worse, do some research and give me some facts to support your case!

I smoked for about 30 years and quit about ... 17 months, 7 days, 3 hours and 5 minutes ago. It's one hell of a modivation killer, causing me to pass up on a lot of good opportunities because it was just so much easier to stay stoned. But it shouldn't be any more illegal than beer, the effect is much milder in most ways, but that "fog" clings. Alcohol is highly addictive and difficult to quit, but I quit pot with no more anxiety than giving up chewing gum.

I've never tried, but my college roommate use to all the time. Nothing quite like coming home from a long day of classes and work to find your rommate and a bunch of people in the apartment smoking out. I didn't mind most of the time.

I don't even though I've had the opportunity. I've seen too many of my friends get messed up from it. One of my female friends got hooked and started hanging out with dope heads. Now she (16 yrs old) is pregnant for a weed puffing n****. She had a promising future. Now her life is in the sh**er. Marijuana should never be legalized. There is nothing good about it.

I did experiment with mary jane a few times, smoking it. It didn't really do anything for me.

I am in favour of normalization or legalization of marijuana, and a lessening of penalties for consumption of cocaine, heroine, and other natural drugs. I think the money spent on law enforcement would give greater returns if used in early prevention of drug use & rehabilitation

With jobs as demanding as they are now, more people than you will ever know smoke weed. They'll never admit it because of their status in the working class society BUT it's very common. The main explanation that I've heard is.."I'll never do drugs, but i'll smoke weed, it's natural and earth grown so it's ok." That's not me speaking I don't do it myself. I like to stay in control.

I do. Some people think that they lose control when they do it. I retain all my control and memory when under the influence. In my honest opinion, dumb people shouldn't do drugs. There are some drugs I WILL stay away from, but I've personally found no trouble with marijuana.
