In whoose business are we talking about? In Saddam's? I thiink that we should write an apology letter to Saddam Hussein that starts by saying how sorry we are for overthrowing his dictatorship. We should also apologize for ending a genocide against his own people which caused deaths in the 100,000 of thousands. Finally we should be sorry that we every liberated Afganistan by those taliban gentlemen. Let me make this clear. The United States messes with peoples business during genocide. The United States sticks their nose in other people's business to send dictators to the depths of prison. That's the USA and you should be dam proud.

This is the million dollar question! And a good one! Most of the time we have interests in these places, and want them to be stable. Sometimes we don't have a special interest and we try to help because of the way the people are being treated. Sometimes it feels as if it doesn't do any good, but because we're bigger and wealthier we kind of have a responsibility to help the under dog.
Having traveled overseas quite a bit, I can say that we are the best country and the wealthiest in the world, no country is like ours, with the freedom, wealth, people don't have hardly anything even in Europe, they are still years behind us, even tho they are much older than us. Most countries are far behind.

We need to ensure that the children (countries) behave themselves so we need to check up on them every so often. When you all grow up and mature, maybe you can be somebody who can take the lead rather then have the U.S. babysit you. Until then, you will have to live with the fact that we are the only country in the world capable of taking the lead on global issues of security, among other things.
Step up to the plate countries out there. Take the driver's seat.

Because we have a President who thinks that every country in the world should be as free and liberated as we are, and therefore he will do everything he can to implement this plan for the world, even if it does mean starting an endless war.

Had America not stuck its nose into WW2, Hitler would have conquered most of Europe and many more millions of Jews, Catholics, Gays, Mentally and physically handicapped, Gypsies and more would have been eradicated.
But what the heck, it wasn't any of our business.
As for today, if they don't want our interjection into their business, they need to stop taking our money.

Not EVERY country. Only the ones that need to be corrected. The ones filled with terrorists. The ones needing money. The ones filled with people needing to be told how to run their lives. The ones that asked for help...at some point in their history. The ones that refuse to do what we say.
I guess you are right. They all need our guidance.

Good question.
I don't know? Maybe it makes Bush feel like a man, trying to prove himself to daddy.
But really? Oil.
Think about the countried we are in, and the resources they have. They're not exporting bananas. If they did, we wouldn't be there.
