What age is it appropriate for somebody to start looking like a fake? Makeup on a girl or young woman just covers up the better color that's already there. I've never seen an exception: girls or young women who wear make up look like fakes. Eye shadow? Nobody really has blue eyelids. That's why blue eyelids look FAKE. Blush? White people, when they blush, sometimes have a perceptible reddening of their cheeks, but it's a subtle thing, and makeup totally overdoes it.
