It is readily apparent by looking at our economy that the Bush trickle down economy does not work!!!!!!!!!! There are NO social programs, including education that haven't been cut because we spend our money on more important things like war with anyone we can invade and show our might!!!! I spent today buying underwear and unisex clothing for a very poor school where children come to school without underwear. Because the families and the school don't have any money the school needs these items for the 5,6,7 and 8 year olds that have accidents at school (which is a normal thing for small child).Other people doing the same???????????while the republicans gather up all that tax money they have saved by robbing the poor. We, as a nation, ought to feel so ashamed of ourselves.

Everything cuts into it....the latest was when Headstart teachers got no cost of living increase and the kids and families lost services. The money went to Katrina victims instead. A good cause, but there's alllllways something! If it's not a national disaster, it's war or space projects.

not sure...but my school has cut back on some sports and odyssey of the mind, and completely cut band camp and (surprisingly) summer school.

duh, it started out that way. Why do you think senator Teddy supported the bill.
If you want to improve education, end the government monopoly on education.
