John Mark Karr, the man who was arrested in Bangkok, Thailand for the 1996 murder of 6-year-old JonBenet Ramsey, was returned to the United States on Sunday on a Thai Airways flight. While he was surrounded by a member of the Boulder County district attorney's office, a U.S. Embassy official and an agent from Homeland Security and was not allowed to use the plane's bathroom unaccompanied, Karr flew business class and enjoyed a veritable feast, complete with beer and wine. The Associated Press reports that the 41-year-old former school teacher drank a glass of champagne before takeoff and then dined on pate, salad, fried king prawn, steamed rice, broccoli and chocolate cake. The meal was accompanied by a beer (he crushed the empty can with his hands) and a glass of French chardonnay. The airline served three meals on the 15-hour flight. Karr later dined on roast duck with soy sauce and yellow noodles, and had pizza, chocolates and a bottle of Evian for the third meal.

it was just what everyone in that section of the plane got to eat and drink, folks...it's not like they ordered out special for child pornographers or celebrity murder suspects even. I might get bent out of shape if I had been flying coach and heard how much better they ate in the front though! Bet it was pretzels and chips ahoy for the cheap seats...
