even if you did not here of it yet what do you think?
CORAL SPRINGS ? A burly exotic guard dog, one of several that frightened residents of an upscale neighborhood in recent days, ferociously mauled and killed its owner Friday afternoon, apparently in sight of the woman's young daughter.
Police said they found the dog, a Presa Canario named Zino, in the backyard of a home in the 9000 block of the Northwest 39th Court in The Hills neighborhood. It was standing over the body of the mother of two.
"It looked like she had lacerations all over her body," police Capt.
The blackish gray dog, a leash still around its neck, reacted aggressively when officers entered the backyard, so they shot and killed it, Nicorvo said. The animal either fell or jumped into the pool and sank.
The 120-pound dog tore into Willey, in shorts and top, when she was bathing it in preparation for a family vacation this weekend.
Do you think the cop who shot the dog was trigger happy?

Whether she provoked the animal, we'll probably never know. About the shooting of the dog, if the officer felt threatened by the dog (which probably had blood on it) he was justified in using deadly force to protect himself. These are big dogs. Females weigh 90-120 pounds, while males weigh 115-140 pounds. If the officer hadn't used deadly force, he may have been the dog's next victim. Remember, the dog had already killed one person that day.

Here's a link about the breed. Read 3.1 about attacks on humans. There was a woman mauled and killed in San Francisco by her neighbor's two Presa Canario/mastiff mixes in 2001.

No the cop wasn't trigger happy. But the owner was an idiot for having that kind of dog.

Good, shouldn't keep dogs like that. Ticking time bombs. And that scam artist Cesar Millan should be mauled next. I bought his book and hit my dog with it.

I believe the officer acted in good faith...I'd support the officer.

No. A killer animal must die every time no exceptions.
