I'm putting the right password in and not taking it?

Some more information would have been helpful such as what website or program etc. Have you checked that your CAPS Lock key is not turned on?

Sometimes passwords on different sites and for different programs are case sensitive meaning e.g. "greenBanana2006" is different from "greenbanana2006".
