My job is an outside, high volume-low commision sales job. I travel to small towns and sell advertising. My office is my car. Often, when I complete my paperwork I drive to a public place and a shade tree. Today, I was at a park when a policeman pulled up. Evidently he had run a check on my plates and the result came back that my license was suspended. I have no idea why this would happen as I have only had one ticket about a year ago and I plead guility and paid the fine. Regardless, the policeman did not arrest me or ticket me but he did insist that I call someone to drive my car home. Which I gratefully did. My canundrum is what to tell my manager. I have only been at this job for three months and even though I think I made a bad decision accepting this job in the light of the gas increase among other things, I don't want to lose this job until I find another. Obviously, I can't drive until I get this mess straightened out. Do I lie or tell the truth.?

I don't see why you can't call MotorVehicles in the morning and straighten out on the phone or at least get an i dea of what happened. It is that simple.

If you "lose" your job over missing a day or afternoon or morning, then it isn't worth it....

If you are employable, then you are employable.

Not the end of the world. If boss doesn't understand then he isn't worth it!

You're welcome.

I really think you need to find out what the deal is with your suspension before you talk to your boss. Seriously, this will show your boss that you follow-through with something and have the ability to solve a problem. Once you know why your license is suspended, you can fix it. Heck, it might be a error in the system and you may get fired for no reason. Good luck and I am sorry this happened to you.

I trust Bella and Gabs. i do no longer think of you're obliged to tell them why you go with the destroy day. i does not tell a lie, in basic terms say an pressing own rely has arise. no rely if that's on your earnings to bare why, ie they sense as though they're going to lose you and would desire to offer you a develop or something, then gain this. in case you get the activity then examine your settlement for a manner lots warning you may desire to offer your modern-day company. in certainty, examine it previously the interview so which you would be able to tell the recent human beings how quickly you may start up up. good success

Seeing as lying will put you in a VERY bad light and you seem to want to avoid looking worse than absolutely necessary, tell the truth because no matter how hard you may try to hide it, truth will come out in the end. Better to have it come out in the beginning and not need to explain why you lied than to look like you would lie to look good.

It's a win or lose situation you are going thruogh. if i were you I would talk to my boss about this and and take it no matter what the answer he's going to tell you. If you get that taken care of soon just maybe he won't find out and it will just blow by. I don't know what kind of job you have and weather it's worth keeping or not, theres other jobs out there that are better .

Poor thing, you've gotten yourself into an awful mess, police men these days, they think they're just so big and bad! I'd say tell the truth. Well here's what can happen.

Lie - your boss may not find out, but if he/she does you're fired.

Truth - better choice, save yourself the embarassment, a small lie leads to another and another till its a huge lie.

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you should tell the truth-you may even be suprised, your employer could help you out or something. But.. I say tell the truth because you shouldnt be driving now that you know your license is suspended. Hope everything works out for you!

Call the DMV and find out why your license was suspended. If the cop let you go just keep going but take a couple of days and try to get the answers about your license.that should give you enough time.Don't tell your employer anything.

Your employer is counting on you to be out driving and working...and you can't...

Hm...

What to do...what to do...

Oh! I know! Pretend you're selling, buy the ads yourself so you have sales to turn in, and your boss will be none the wiser!

See, if I had a commissioned salesperson out in the field who was turning in nothing, I'd be a bit concerned.
