Depends on the freak, most times you can have your opinions brought forth, but most often they will not be viewed to have any significance or weight to them and/or will be avoided completely. Often, when a control freak is aware the individual has more intellectual concept and/or ability, skills, etc...they feel threatened by that, and at that point will usually try to bring the individual down, and/or break their inner spirit. No matter who you live with you should always have your own opinion but if your living with a control freak I seriously doubt that they will even take your opinions into account...

You are allowed to have your own opinion no matter who you live with - they may not like it - but it is one of your rights as an american... if you are one. If you are living with someone that does not let you voice yourself you need to seriously consider ending that no win situation.
