It is the perfect flow control valve, it can pass solid liquid and gas together or separately one at a time.
No human designed & manufactured valve comes close.
In fact the rectum is probably proof for all those intelligent design supporters. They should start shouting out GOD MADE THE RECTUM AND SAW THAT IT WAS GOOD.
We science types wouldn't want to argue with a bunch of rectums.

I'd rather think of the rectum as a hole. I used to have two Cadillacs, but my old lady RECTUM boff.

I'm cool with it. I think it's pretty important. Without it, I'd be pretty uncomfortable.
