I'm trying to feed her stage 3 food. I've tried eggs, mashed food, and things like greenbeans. She is fine the first bite or two, then starts gaging and then throws up. Is this a normal thing for some babies?

my son had a strong gag reflex until nearly 1 year old. this is normal. just keep offering lumpy food, best before giving other food so she doesn't throw up what has been eaten. she will get over this.

How many teeth does she have ? If it isn't something like mashed potatoes maybe it's too formed for her... and perhaps she isn't ready for them... maybe just keep her on the dinners before stage 3... meats , fruits and veggies for another month and try again...

If she's gagging and throwing up, she isn't ready for thicker foods.

Just give 'em some fishsticks to gum on.

it is also possible that she's allergic to some of the ingredients or she simply doesnt like the taste.
