theres a rumor that someone made a site identical to myspace, where, while your'e on your myspace, it redirects you to a page that looks like the myspace home page, saying to log in again, and once you log in it saves your email and password. i wouldn't have beleived this, but i have seen it with my own eyes, but i cannot get back to the site. i didn't rite the url down, and it seems to have disappeared from my history. the url is something like www.awardness.com/mispace........but its not that. If anyone finds this page or knows the URL please let me know

Yes it is very real. It is a scam to try and get your email adress and password. The way this works is that they make a site identical to the myspace login page, the one that says "You have to be logged-in to do that" and its all exactly the same, exept for the url. If u are a victim of this and fall for it, when u type in your pass and address, it uploads them to a site, which then records them and shows like a website with only text showing only the addresses and the passowords to those addresses to the scammer. Be careful because there isnt only one scam going around, there are many scams and many different webpages, so always check the url of the site whenever ur typing in critical things like ur password.(there is also links on many bulleting people post telling ur stupid things or advertising or stuff like that) Make sure that the url is either www.myspace.com as the home page and for the "You must be logged..." page, it must start with somethink like, login.myspace.com_________ and other things....but it has to start with login.myspace.com. if its anything else other than those two, its a scam. I know all of this because they tried scamming me, so I found out how to do it and I have my own scam, which I dont use, as I only wanted to know how it worked so that I dont fall for anything else like that. I hope that this helps!!!

The thing I dont know, is why would anyone want anyone's myspace???? Thats just retarded...I guess they want more friends or something...lol

Yes, it's common in phishing scams. They use a redirect to gather personal infomation. With a site like myspace, it's mostly used so they can change your page and fill it with junk and to post bullitins saying that you've just won X-Boxes and crap like that. It becomes a real danger when it's done to sites with sensitive information like your bank or sites like paypal.
