I have the same problem. It has been 2 1/2 weeks and my friends husbands cousin has been asking about me and it's wierd. We all hung out about a week ago and he was sweet. I don't know if it's a rebound type thing or what. I still love my ex, and we are friends, but it is still wierd to think about being with someone else.
I say do what you want. If you like this guy go for it, but do it SLOWLY, don't rush anything. If you still have feelings for your ex, it will make it hard, but it can be done. Good luck

If you like this new guy tell him to wait for a month (and, obviously, if you don't then tell him to get lost).
The reason you should wait a month is because (regardless of who did the breaking with you ex) you are currently classed as being on the rebound and no good ever came of any date with someone on the rebound involved because, chances are that you will either be offputtingly frigid or inadvisably lush.

What's the problem? You broke up. Go out with him if you want to. You don't have to remain true to a guy you're not even seeing.

If you're just gonna go out -GOOO! =)
Have fun,. Warning though, DON'T FALL IN LOVE WHILE YOU ARE ON A REBOUND.
It would be too early for you to go on steady dating for now, i should say. Just go out and meet (NOT MATE) other people. Learn from past mistakes. Know your priorities and wants. Show your EX that it is his loss and not yours. You go, GURL!

Depends on how bad you feel about the breakup. Are you devastated? Horribly sad? If so, you might want to wait a while. But if not, it's sometimes the best way to start to heal. If you feel up to it, go for it. Might be fun!

just go out with the guy and treat him as your friend. dont make him be a "fill-in" because you lost your boyfriend. rather, find security with him, and with him you'll at least feel loved and cared upon.
but! don't rush things. just go with the flow, and things will fall into its right place.
true love waits.
it's better to wait for the best,
than see yourself settle for the "good"
good luck!!
