When I done anything wrong when I was a kid I got skelped (smacked) shook (vigourously but not violently) and shouted at very loudly by my dad. Which left me in no doubt if my behaviour was unacceptable. I recall being afraid (not terrified) of the consequences of being bad. My dad never harmed me with it, he taught me to weigh up if being naughty was worth the punishment, and the possibility of hurting someone else through wrong doing. I'm thirty one and have no criminal convictions, which is pretty impressive around these parts. I've my Dad to thank for that, and I respect him 100%. Parents should be able to disipline their kids as they see fit (within reason obviously) A kid will walk all over a namby pamby parent who doesn't smack their children. They are learning hundreds of things when they are young. With huge imagination, and a pen and paper, being sent to their room is a piece of cake and they'll be quick to notice it. They can do the time, so they'll do the crime!

Okay, real easy instructions to follow...
1) Get the entire dysfunctional family in the house.
2) Seal all the windows and doors shut with duct tape, caulk, anything to keep air from escaping or coming in.
3) Turn on the gas stove, full blast.
4) Breathe deep.
5) Repeat until dead.
