OK first of all I am a "environmentalist" not tree hugger, and a vegetarian and I am this way because I care about all of gods creatures and everything that affects our everyday lives. Secondly The plants are natural and you do not have to stop a beating heart to eat broccoli, just as you wouldn't kill your dog to eat it why should I kill a cow...I mean seriously stop having such discriminatory remarks.

It is unbelievable how ignorant people can be! If any of you had an IQ of over 80 (not mentally retarded), you would know a few obvious things.

First...the term Tree Hugger is a misnomer and derrogatory term for people that want to be able to breath.

Second...The natural environment creates the oxygen that you need to breath. When the ecological balance of an area is upset, everything in the area suffers. When the plants suffer, less oxygen is being created, and less carbon dioxide is filtered out of the air.

Third...vegetarianism is not a threat to anyone. Vegetarians are simply trying to do...in their own lives...what they can to protect YOUR life! Fact: You are drinking cow feces!!! When large amounts of animal dung are concentrated in a small area, much of it seeps into the ground water. The tap water in most areas in this country is contaminated to a toxic level by animal feces. This is not from deer crapping in the woods...it is only caused by concentrated amounts in a small area. Fact: It takes 50 pounds of plant protein to create one pound of meat. Starvation is caused by a shortage of grains, which is in turn caused by the waste of food associated with meat production.

Fourth...heart disease is the leading cause of premature death and disease in this country. Heart disease is caused by consumption of animal proteins. Vegetables do not contain saturated fats, which clog arteries, cause obesity, and contribute to a myriad of other health problems.

Ignorance is the leading cause of death, destruction, fear, and war. Intentionally remaining in ignorance is hurting YOU! Only ignorance can cause people to react so violently and disdainfully towards people that are only trying to help.

If you like breathing and would like to drink clean water...thank a "tree hugger" and do your part in fixing the problem.

If you aren't really stupid, but just don't know the facts, end your ignorance! Visit www.peta.org and see for yourself why vegetarianism will help make you safe!

Don't be a yellow coward! Be brave enough to get the facts and then make your decision about vegetarians for yourself, instead of letting ignorant fools trick you into believing lies.

Cause tree huggers are as ignorant as republicans and don't realize that they don't do any good by not eating meat.

Because their philosophy isn't about being consistent or advancing mankind. The environmental movement is the last refuge of the Marxist.
