The others seems struggling in the fight against making a lot of effort to make it happen while the forst category seems just to enjoy their luck.Might be a silly question , but worth asking though!!!

Perspective.
One with a positive perspective believes they are lucky because they find good in the majority of their life. This good makes the person happy. A happy person is generally envied by an unhappy person. The unhappy person believes that something beyond perspective needs to be in play, thus luck.
I come from an abusive family and I bounced around in foster care. Yet, I have a positive perspective and I am considered lucky.
A person with a positive perspective brings more joy, more good, and the perception of more luck.

Good luck is just good luck by itself. It is not anything you work for or get at will. It just comes any time for no reason, like falling in love. I am very lucky and I cannot explain why it always happens to me. I could see and test it. I lived 12 years in a large compound abroad.We had many tombola, numbers drawing, game of chance, winning numbers and so on. I was always was the winner among 360 people. I won gifts, jewels, books, carpets, restaurant tickets, plane tickets half way around the world and back, and money, lotteries, bingo and horse races in France. People sitting next to me also won. I never did anything special to win, I just bought the first ticket coming my way and wait for the winner. Winning all the time I became quite unpopular, people started to do not like me but nobody could explain why I won all the time. I cannot explain it either. It is just like that.
I can understand that some people have no luck at all. I have it all. Sorry, but it is like that.

A few cliches
Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.
The more I practice the luckier I get.
My favourite luck story is about the person in the US who crossed the state line to buy a lottery ticket where it was a rollover. They bought another lottery ticket back in their own state. Amazingly they got the winning numbers in both lotteries BUT on the wrong tickets so they got nothing.
Luck is all about being aware of what is around you. Its about engaging people in conversation. I knew a guy whose father coached a local football team. One day he quit his job and went on holiday to decide what he was going to do with himself. He got talking to a guy on the beach who asked if he would like to be his agent. The guy on the beach was Johann Cruyff. (If you don't know who he is find out) The point is that if you don't try and do something different each day like going to the library and getting a book about something you've never thought about or talking to a stranger opportunities will rarely present themselves and you will stagnate. You will miss opportunities and feel unlucky. I have bought three different assets in 5 years. Two doubled and the other almost tripled. Was I lucky - I could have invested in something that went up five fold but my money was tied up. I have no regrets about that. I have found opportunities before and I feel confident of finding them in the future. Does this answer your question. You make your own luck so be lucky. You can never learn too much (Mafia aside) so absorb knowledge and wait for luck to arrive.

Luck is in the eye of the beholder.
I know some people who look at everything in a negative way. They could find $100 and complain that it wasn't enough. Others could find $10 and you would think they had won the lottery.
If you lool at things in a positive way you will seem lucky.

Luck is a load of nonsense,i have been told that if i fell into a barrel of dicks i would come up with a tit in my mouth,but i also have bad luck,its all about bein in the right or wrong place at the right or wrong time

i feel lucky, nice healthy kids, nice home, car and holidays, but i work damn hard to get it and to run a home smoothly, when the poo hits the fan i just wipe it off an carry on, i never let anything get me down, so yeah am lucky xx

I know people who do things in the sloppiest way imaginable and when stuff inevitably turns to c**p bewail their 'bad luck'.
