The gap between the rich and the poor will increase . Some new war will probably be created if the voting class are affected by the criminals of the poor , just to get rid of them. A new trend, fashion ,value system will be introduced ,to keep the hampsters on the wheel , so they continue to earn for their masters . Britain and USA will be sucking up to China , India or Russia as we alll realise that the change in Superpowers, due to population , natural resrves or sheer populations , is on it's way . A new deadly disease , worse than Aids , will probably be discovered. Water companies will continue to raise the price , poor people will waste all their money tryiong to look like music or film stars often on credit , new medical , scientific and spiritual claims will be made , only to be rubbished a hundred years from now , D.N.A will be used as the new class and racial divider , the super rich will continue to explore other planets so they can leave once they have milked this planet, men and women will still be playing silly games with one another , books will become rarer, cable t.v will still churn out the same **** , people will still hate one another, tidal waves and other strange events . But whatever happens , you can guarrantee that the same families who have controlled the wealth , media , armed forces , food giants , gas , electric, property , legal sysems for the last 100 years will still do so . Happy future folks!

Well if John Titor is to be believed there will be natural disasters followed by civil wars and we won't be very happy! - by 2016 the war would be over and those who survive start the job of re-building the future.

Sounds plausible to me - but I hope I'm on a different world-line to him, because my future world won't have changed so drastically.
I think we will be in a more controlled state - cameras all over the place, more accountability, greater police powers - all because we are in a freer state now than ever before but there is an element of society that can't control themselves because of their lack of self discipline, responsibility and natural caring for others and so the 'state' has to implement control to keep them in check.

I think also we will have a more developed attitude towards the 'world community' even if this is more 'celebrity led' than 'government led' (ie Bob Geldorf)

If crime and the consunption of oil keeps going as it is we probally no longer exist as a great nation. We can only tolerate so many criminals and the air is getting harder to breathe.
