COT will not be good for the sport. It seems as if Nascar is trying to become the IROC series week to week. I don't know, but it seems as if racing will not be an issue of who "got" the right setup, but more who will be in the right place at the right time to capitalize and end up winning the race.....It is taking too much out of the hands of the crew.....
And, correct me if I am wrong, but Nextel has absolutely NOTHING to do with the decisions of the car of tomorrow, that is strictly a decision by NASCAR itself.

COT is a pathetic attempt to make the sport more bland for the masses, amazingly I have not heard much noise from the car makers over this. While cars now bear little resemblance to the street cars they are suppose to represent this just takes it too far. I think we may see car manufacturers pull out of the series in the end, yeah I know fat chance right. Nascar may go the way that IRL is now with manufacturers just making engines, and if that happens the big 3 will pull out as they have already gotten their proverbial asses handed to them in every other series that has happened in, and now look.

i love the COT because of this. automobile specs. are are tightened up the position the bodies surely ought to bypass extra templates than they ever have. The motor, motive force and automobile setup in the course of the race will ensure the winner. no extra cheated up wind tunnel bodies, goofy pushed out the front fenders and the shrinking greenhouses. Tony had Bristol contained in the bag if it hadn't been for the force cable to the gasoline pump. as a lot as now in ordinary words one automobile had a criminal body besides. Now the Cot's are all 4 door fashions with a pretend 2 door submit

I agree with you! They are big ugly and slow. It will definitely hurt nascar in the beginning, but i don't think it will screw it up completely.
*p.s. by the way, great pic of Matt's car :)

I have to agree with you. When I first saw those cards I thought it was a joke but then I realized they were serious. That was about the time the depression and nausea started:)

I laughed so hard that I cried. I understand the need for safety, but come on, that thing needs to be wrecked as ugly as it is!!!! I would be embarassed to have to drive it, let alone be a sponsor and have my name all over it. Geesh!!
