I'm having some pretty bad problems with morning sickness, having problems even with the smell or sight of food until late in the afternoon; what are some foods that you other women out there have found that you can still eat when you're experieincing morning sickness?

Crackers (like ritz or saltines) and if you can stomach it a little peanut butter (to prevent migraines from lack of food). Also you can try the lollipops from onestepahead, they are suppose to help with morning sickness.

I could only eat crackers, mcdonalds chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, oj, and milk while I was pregnant with my first. If I had ANYTHING else I would be throwing up. What I hated most was that she didn't seem to like chocolate at all. I got pregnant in April and it wasn't until my birthday (it was my birthday I wanted chocolate) that I was able to eat chocolate and keep it down! LOL! I am a MAJOR chocoholic!! LOL!

I had the same problems. Just the thought of chicken made me sick, the smell, the sight, just talking about it, and I love chicken. I stayed sick from the early morning until the late evening. I ate alot of salads, and corn flakes cereal. I ate dry toast and plain white bread. It was really hard, but I survived. This was with my first pregnancy only. You can also try sucking on hard candy, or mints.

Lipton's Noodle Soup always worked for me, along with Ritz Crackers. And trust me, I know how you feel because with my morning sickness, I threw up 24/7 for three months and eventually had to be put on Phenergan to ease the sickness and help me sleep during the night, then eventually I had to be put on Zofran (which is a chemotherapy drug used to reduce nausea in cancer patients).

I'd try to stay away from anything that has a lot of flavoring in it. And remember this rule... if it nauseates you to smell it, don't eat it or get away from it. (I banned my husband from wearing his favorite deodorant. It was either that or I wouldn't go near him). lol

Good luck girly, hope you get to feeling better *Hugs*

Gingersnaps! The cookies. Ginger is a good ingredient to settle the stomach, which is why so many people drink gingerale when they are nauseated. You can also take the ginger in capsule form.
Oh yeah, I have also heard of people having success with small amounts of pickle juice.

I am going to give you the sure thing that will kill any morning sickness and/or nausea... LEMONS AND LIMES. I sucked on lemons for about the firstr 3 months of my pregnancy and I never felt nauseaus or had morning sickness. TRY IT! It is a natural remedy sent from the mother earth herself.

You'll never believe it, but raw apples without the skin really helped me keep the food down, I tried lemon water, sprite, crackers, pedialite (don't ask) and it kept coming up until my friend gave me little pieces of apple without the skin and i felt much better.

I wish you the best with the pregnancy and the baby, congrats

saltines, dry toast. They also sell these lollipops called Preggie pops that are supposed to help with morning sickness. It also helps to eat smaller meals less often rather than a lot all at once. Hope this helps.

Saltine crackers, setting on the night table right beside the bed. She ate one when she first woke (or 2 or 3), before her feet hit the floor, seemed to help my daughter.

crackers, dry toast, ginger ale or ginger capsules as soon as you wake up.
(i had the morning sickness ALL day.... so i actually had to revert to prescibed medecines for my pregnancy) but since u only have it in the morning, if nothing else works.. try a lil sip of water and a gravol... that should calm your sotmach if you can keep that in long enough for it to do its job.

Crackers, ginger ale, really anything you would have eaten when you were sick as a child. Nothing heavy, greasy or spicy it will be bad...trust me. Good Luck and Congrats!
P.S. Cold foods are good also since they are not as smelly.
