Obviously when you are in the wilderness you can pee in public. Deer hunting? Sure. A friend was put in jail for more than tree days for urinating off a rural road with nobody around in -- guess where? -- Louisiana. (And no, he did not challenge the cops at all, and was apologetic). This person came to Louisiana to help with the Katrina recovery effort (and is a Republican for those of you who think in those binary terms), working tirelessly for over a year, and now finds himself a role in Deliverance II. Unbelievable!

That is sad, I would want to find out what rights I had in that situation. When you are going to be arrested, detained or questioned and you have the Legal Shield through Pre-Paid Legal Services, you have 24/365 emergency access to a lawyer, to find out what to do and what your rights are on the spot. Even at 3am on a Saturday night in Louisiana.

Best thing there is.

My advice is to speak to a lawyer and the best, most inexpensive way to do this is through Pre-Paid Legal Services. For more information visit the website below, and feel free to contact me through that site if you have further questions on how this service may be able to help you. I encourage you to find out what your rights and options are in this situation.

I wish you the best of luck.

Have your friend find a good lawyer and fight it. I would advise that you check with the LA Bar Association -- chances are good he could find someone to handle this matter pro bono.

Wow that is really fricken stupid! He should try to fight it to some point! And make it known that he is getting screwed for taking a whiz when he was down there to just help!
