You can PERMANENTLY delete all temporary internet files if you want to. However, everytime you browse the internet, your browser will automatically save all the pages and files that you open in the same directory again. So you will have to delete those 'NEW' files every single time.

However, there is a way to at least REDUCE the size of saved files in your Temporary Internet files folder. In IE, Go to Internet Options and select General tab. Under Temporary Internet files, click Settings. Set the 'Amount of disk space to use' slidebar to the smallest number (1MB). This means, your browser will only allow 1 mb in space to save files when you are surfing in the net.

Well first off, you would have to use wipedrive and scrub the drive 7 times to get them off the drive unrecoverablly. Then you would have to stop using the computer. Every website you visit puts cookies, and temporary files on your computer.

So barring that, make damned sure you don't go to a site that you need to be worried about. If that is not possible for you to do, then for IE:

Click on tools, internet options, click clear files, cache, and history.

For Firefox, Tools, options, privacy anbd go through and clear everything.

If you have something else, let me know.

Ulead Photo Explorer is a low cost program that will let you delete any file. It's supposed to be for finding graphic files on your computer, but it will show every file (even ones Windows doesn't show like the Temp Internet files) and let you delete them.

You might already have a copy since it is often bundled with things like digicams, webcams, and scanners.

click Tools
Internet Options
click the "clear History" button
where it says "days to keep in history" -- set to 0

You need a security provider that has a "scrubber" or a "shredder."

You have to pay for this type of service.
