The past week and a half or so; I've been having problems with severe morning sickness. From the time I get up; or if I get up at all during the night, I feel like I'm going to throw up; whether I eat or not. And if I do eat, I do often throw up. It doesn't matter what it is. I'm like that until mid-afternoon, just can't keep anything down; even the sight or smell of food makes me queasy; its hard to even make breakfast for our 15 month old baby girl. But in the evenings, I'm fine, can cook, eat anything. Why the difference? And is there anything I can do besides drinking warm soda or having things with ginger in it? And how to I make sure I'm getting the right foods for the baby since I can't eat during the day? I'm basically only getting one good meal a day, and I know that's not best for the bub; but what else can I do?
Thanks in advance for the help; any advice is greatly appreciated.

Throwing up and not eating the first half of the day is NOT going to hurt your baby. One of the theories of morning sickness is that your fetus is so vulnerable at this stage that your body purposefully gets rid of any potential danger brought in by foods. Your baby is getting everything it needs right now from you whether you are eating regularly or not. Try people's suggestions if you are hungry, but don't worry about it. I lived on IHOP oatmeal once a day during my whole 3rd month. Maybe that will help:).
Be thankful it's only in the morning! Most women have morning sickness all day long. As long as you are able to tolerate water and get one good meal in, you are doing great! It'll go away in a few weeks, usually by week 12.
Don't worry. Everything is fine.

Have a box of animal crackers and a glass of flat ginger ale next to your bed. The key is to keep something in your stomach at all times so the acid doesn't build up. Whenever you wake up, eat a few crackers and take a sip of the ginger ale. Also, take it slowly until your stomach is settled. If you try to do too much when you are feeling queasy, you WILL get sick.

To be safe, use natural remedies. Ginger (the root) is said to help with morning sickness and sea sickness. I can attest to the sea sickness, it works.
You can use it a few ways; ginger tea, ginger root peeled and smashed steeped in water, crystalized ginger to eat or ginger candy (just make sure it has real ginger in it).
Also, eat small meals of things that are dry and light. Cracker in the morning may be light and dry enough. It will pass.
There are some pressure points on the wrist you can use (accupressure) that may help.

Morning sickness is no fun, I know first hand. I lived on ginger ale, toast & crackers for a while. Pudding helped too.
Keep crackers & ginger ale by the bed and eat something before you move to get out of bed. That should help in the morning.

Try drinking lots of water before you go to bed. Make sure you drink the water at least an hour after you have had something to eat. Dry plain toast and plain rice in the mornings might help,it helped me with my four babies, however everyone is different.

My sister is pregnant and she is having the same problem. Her doctor prescribed her some nausea medicine, and it really works for her. She tends to get a little sleepy with it, but that's better than being sick. Talk to your doctor.
