I taught my kid by interacting with him. We did not have the learning videos that are out today and didn't buy computer generated toys, and he is a smart man. When I grew up, we learned what we knew in school.Learning videos are popular.Did we stop teaching our kids what we know?

I see lots of kids who are not being taught anything by their parents.

the use of day care when a child is under 1 and 5 predicts that parents will be less attached to their kids, ready to pass them off to tv and other 'caregivers' whenever possible. humans raised by machines. great experiment!

In the new age when the family is self-consumed, we fail to have time with the ones that we are supposed to give more time to, especially the little precious creatures... baby. I know that I am not going to teach my 2 month old with little gadgets and such... he will learn that on his own overtime. What happened to gool ol' hopscotch, jacks, cops and robbers, hide and go seek, playing house or school or doctor. Those were the good days, and I am going to try my best to keep him in those days and not sabotage his simple outlook on life with things he doesn't need.
