Gas pains! We all are having them, in some cases what people put in their gas tanks a month someone could go on a vacation in Florida. I used to hear people say they either buy food or buy meds now they can't afford to move their car to get to the Doctors to get a script they can't afford to get. Bush says he has taken action to help ease the pump pains but is he doing all he can?

Personally I don't feel he is

No, he is doing all he can to keep the prices up, hence more profit for the major oil company's and himself. Clinton on the other hand released the national reserves and caused a glut on the market and that lowered the prices. Bush really does suck.

Why should it be his job to lower the price of gas? Why should it be the OIL INDUSTRY'S job to find alternative fuels? What do people not get about the term "OIL INDUSTRY"?!

Get off your a$$ and walk, ride a bus, or car pool if you won't drive something that doesn't eat it's weight in fuel daily. What you drive is a CHOICE.

I am tired of people whining. We don't pay NEAR the price that is paid in Europe....this is a supply and demand system. With China and India wanting gas, too, and with the left not allowing drilling in ANWAR and the gulf, our supply is limited.

So, conserve, conserve, conserve and stop blaming everyone else for your problems.

NOW, do you want to talk about what is going to happen to the price of food because of the drought? Now that is real issue.

The President if really limited in what he can do to affect market change on any product, including gasoline. Releasing more oil from the Strategic Reserve will lower prices only about 4 cents per gallon. What he can do is pressure Congress to promote alternative sources of energy (ethanol, biodesiel, wind, solar).

You should be asking is congress doing all they can. The legislative branch of the government makes and repeals laws like the $0.67 per gallon the government gets from gas in California. The government get a huge profit off of gas in every state. It is more than 50 cents per gallon in most states. eliminating that or drastically reducing it and lowering ther overspending in so many other areas would help a lot.

Well actualy war and capturing the terretory is not a solution to the gas problem. The more the tensions in the Middle east, more will be the gas prices.

What should he do?

Releasing reserves is only a temporary "fix" that's more for show than anything.

Nationalize the oil companies. How un-American is that, and unconstitutional.

Raise taxes. That's just moronic. ANY tax will be passed on to us.

How about finding more oil so we don't depend on overcharging countries and allow newer, more efficient refineries to be built.

Sure he is, but it's gonna take a united effort from all of us to get off of foreign oil. Because that's the only way to knock the high prices.

If you watch only one conspiracy documentary ever, make it this one. This just might be the best introductory video out there. Understand that every claim made in this is fact, not opinion, no matter how wild it sounds. It's all easily verifiable through mainstream news archives and public documents.

Nope. He's doing everything he can in his power to help his friends from oil companies reach their profit at an all time high.
