Through Big Mountain Pass and five dollars per was a multi-state bargain and practically sure. Then it got even better. Name the next stop wet on the other side of the mountains. (I've typed this exactly as it reads in the book. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.)

There's a Big Mountain Ski Resort in Montana. I was wondering if maybe that's the same Big Mountain in the clue.
I actually have no idea about this question, but I just wanted to see if this helps.
By the way, I think the clue is supposed to read, "Name the next stop west," instead of "Name of the next stop wet." Sorry.
