There are many ways. You could set up a chart like this:

1 pointers 2 pointers 3 pointers total
14 0 0 14
12 1 0 14
11 0 1 14
10 2 0 14
9 1 1 14

That is 5 ways that it could be done. You can see how to do the rest (I hope).

3+3+3+3+2+1=14
3+3+3+3+1+14
3+3+3+2+2+1=14
3+3+3+2+1+1=14
3+3+3+1+1+1+1=14
you could explain that you made an organized list, beginning w 3 pt shots although the person does not hve to make the shots in this order. you could go on this way...
you simply decompose the last numbers because 3s can be easily decomposed as 1 or 2 pointers. as you move through the organized list you would then decompose 2s, then the 3s...

2 2 pointers 10 1 pointers= (2*2) +(10*1) =14
3 2 pointers 8 1 pointers (3*2) +(8*1) =14
4 2 pointers 6 1 pointers =4*2+(6*1) =14
5 2 pointers 4 1 pointers =(5*2) +(4*1)=14

Yup, yup!
14 = 1+2+3+1+2+3+1+1
14 = 2+2+2+2+2+2+2
14 = 2+3+2+3+2+2
14 = 3+3+3+3+2
14 = 1+1+1+1+1+1+1......(until it equals 14)

Hmm..i don't know, there are so many answers!
are there more restrictions on the questions?
