I think that gays should be able to get married. They have the right to be as miserable as the rest of us. :D

I've got to get my 2 cents in on this one. Reasons why gay marriage should not be legal:
Homosexuals do not stay in committed relationships. It's a Fact.
Homosexuals do not practice fidelity when they are in a relationship.
Homosexuals practice sexual acts with strangers that cause a lot of health issues which would have to be covered under health insurance if they were "married". This means that you would be looking at higher health care for yourself and legitimate family.
The institute of marriage would become a sociatal joke. Our entire system is based on marriage between a man and a woman. When you delute that with same sex marriages you tear apart the fundamental values of our society. You also create a system where our future children will not have a clear understanding of what normal relationships are. Oh, by the way, there is no factual proof that anybody was ever 'BORN GAY'. Situations happen in someones life and some people have a tendancy to be pulled that way but there is no "gay gene".

Marriage is a tradition started long before open homosexuality. It is plain it was not intended to include such a perversion. If gays think they should be able to marry they should come up with their own equivalent., rather than trying to apply what was obviously intended to be a union between a heterosexual man and woman who would most likely have children I.E form a family. If gays can marry, I then should be able to marry my dog and file taxes jointly and have her covered by my medical insurance. Or marry my motorcycle and claim it as a dependent., Or marry anything other than what marriage is supposed to unite (a man and a woman). In this liberal day and age, if gays wanted to invent their own version of marriage I doubt anyone would interfere.

Absolutely nothing wrong with it. Gay love isn't any different from Straight love and any two people have the right to express their love for eachother through the rite of marriage, regardless of sexual orientation.

You can't ask a question and then limit the answer to all except the correct one. In reality there is no such thing as gay marriage because it is outside the definition of marriage.

Gay Marriage? No. It's a religous thing and churches have a right to marry whoever they want (or not marry) without government interference. Should gay couples be allowed to sign a "marriage contract" like straight couples and have the same rights? Absolutely.
And Doctor Doom? YOU KICK ***!

I don't understand why gay people want to get married because marriage is a promise/commitment you are making with God. Everyone knows God doesn't approve of this if they've read the bible. Why would you want to get married and make a promise with God when you don't even follow his word or when you don't even believe in him in the first place? In my eyes, marriage is a part of religion.

Only straight people should get a tax break, share benifits, and be allowed to visit each other if they are in the hospital (even if they have been in a commited relationship for 10 yrs). Cuz god wants it that way.
riiiiight.....

man, i am so tired of that adam and eve not adam and steve saying. if youre going to be a hatemonger, at least try to be original. and guess what? you dont have to believe in the bible to get married, the word "god" is not legally required for the ceremony, so that should have nothing to do with it

I don't give a rat's rectum ...except when it is strictly for monetary reasons. Oh,and that it seems to legitimize an abnormal life situation. Homosexuality used to just be something funny...Now it's a hot-button topic.Oh and when did 'gay' replace qu, I mean, uh, fa,uh.Geez somebody help me here. What's a PC, if ludicrous word for it?
