Many people feel that way, but my family is so backwards that they believe that if you do someone wrong, they have EVERY right to come back on you twice as hard.

No two wrongs do not make a right. Three lefts make a right. And two wongs make a wang.

As to your family well, if that is the way they feel I am surprised that the cycle ever ends. if they come back on you tiwce as hard, and it is wrong then you come back at them twice as hard, and then they come back at you twice as hard.....sooner or later nuclear meltdown will occur.

No, two wrongs dont make a right. I am sorry to hear that your family feels that way. Obviously you dont think that way or I don't think you would be asking. I believe that people that try and seek revenge get worse things back at them in the end. Not to mention they are acting just as wrong as the first person, which doesn't solve the problem at all. It just repeats it. Then after that, what happens? Do you get to do it again four times worse? That doesn't make much sense. I don't think that people that choose to react this way are very wise. But this is all just my opinion, you may have your own just like your family does. I would just think about it before you go around repaying everyone for all their wrongs, and wonder if it's really worth it in the end to hurt that person.

No, two wrongs do not make a right. And the whole idea of vengeance is absurd. Do you know how many feuds have been perpetuated for years from the attitude of "can't quit until the balance is in our favor"? Of course, if both sides feel that way, they never quit fighting until one side is completely dead (or both).

I have always held that living well is the best revenge. Someone did you a dirty, and you do not have a case you can take to court. Don't try to do them a dirty in retaliation, lest they DO have something to take to court, where the judge doesn't count the fact that you were doing it to "get even." Better, improve your life to the point where you can thumb your nose at them and say, at least in your own mind, "You didn't manage to ruin my life, you jerk! Look how well I'm doing in spite of you."

Remember the three-fold law: what you do returns to you three-fold. They will get their karma, and so will you. They will have three-fold harm; you will have three-fold reward.

I feel that two wrongs do not make it right however, it makes it even.

Someone called ACS (children services) and lied and said tons of things that was false allegations. My home was investigated but nothing happened because the social worker could clearly see that it was false. To make a long story short, I was so upset that I did it right back to them actually it was alot worse... Yes it was wrong for me too do that however, it felt good getting revenge....

It depends, it seems like doing things right doesn't do much at times. However, if you do something wrong intentionally, it comes back to bite twice as hard. Karma is a pain, and works in strange ways.

And eye for an eye, etc...? Naw, that's what's so wrong with the world. If someone hits us, we feel we ought to hit them back even harder, if someone fires a missle, we ought to nuke them.

I say, love all, forget the sins of the past, and live according to how you feel is right, which for me is the biblical way.

'Course, I'm not perfect, and I do lash out in anger at times, but I do my best to be honest and loving, as well as forgiving. If you feel angry, walk it off, and come back with a forgiving attitude. Oh, and forgive your family for any sins they have done against you.

I think it really depends on the situation. Ever heard the saying "getting a taste of your own medicine"? I think some people learn the hard way...

And example of this would probably be when my little brother was being bullied by a bigger kid. He never hit back... but one day he finally did and the kid never touched him again!

2 wrongs would just add to the already "wronged" situation. Therefore, 2 wrongs don't make a right!

everything you do wrong comes back to you ten fold. 2 wrongs do not make a right, unless you are trying to save a life or so
