No, your DEAD CORPSE would be preserved in a fairly good fashion for a number of years, forever is too long a time.

No. But there is an ancient "magical" mixture called honegar.
Honey and vinegar, that prolongs life.
Today we know honey draws the water out of bacteria in the body. Killing them. And vinegar of course, is what they use for "pickling" things. Preserving them, and it preserves your insides.

no you need food and water and air to live.if you were in formaldehyde you would be dead

Your body would be preserved for a long time, though I strongly doubt it'd be forever.

And "living" wouldn't come into it. You'd be dead.
