If Yeng Ching is still near Holy Family CHurch (south of the circle and across from Hart Park) they used to have great food and table service. There was also a nice Mexican place a couple of blocks north of Mainplace, passed CHOC and kaddycorner from the Ralph's grocery store. Sorry, It's been 10 years since I lived there, I have forgotten the names of the streets and I can only remember landmarks

Orange Hill restaurant is very nice and in your town. Irvine has a fun fondue place, The Melting Pot. I think it's off the 405 at Jeffrey.

For Italian food, try Tratorria Borello in Orange.
For really high-end Italian food, go to Antonello's in Costa Mesa.
For great steaks without the Morton/Flemming/Ruth price to go Stubricks in Fullerton.
For great sushi, go to "Fish in a Bottle" on Imperial and Rose in Yorba Linda.
For Middle Eastern food, go to Rogene's in Anahiem Hills.
For a great panini sandwich go to Stefano's Golden Baked Hams on Yorba Linda Blvd and Imperial in Yorba Linda. (Open to 6pm)

Papa Hasan's on Glassell righ tby Chapman University. It is excellent and different from the normal fare in OC. Plus, it's kind of romantic.

If your a steak lover you should try Flemmings. Everything there is delicious! It is however kind of pricey tho. http://orangecounty.citysearch.com/profile/605310/newport_beach_ca/fleming_s_prime_steakhouse_and_wine_bar.html
